Community Standards
Tiptree exists to make tips tangible. We believe that professional reputation and tipping should be accessible to everyone, backed by real human interactions, and protected from abuse. Whenever you interact on Tiptree—whether sending a tip, receiving tips, hosting a contest, or writing a review—act with authentic identity, fair intentions, and mutual respect.
Integrity and Authentic Identity
Genuine profiles, honest information, and zero impersonation.
Tiptree is built on genuine human connections, reliable tipping, and verifiable service reputations.
Users must provide truthful and accurate information during registration, identity verification, and profile setup.
Impersonation of any individual, creator, worker, business, or registered entity is strictly prohibited and results in immediate account suspension.
Profile handles, display names, and bio descriptions must not mislead patrons regarding your affiliation, credentials, or service offerings.
Zero Tolerance for Abuse, Harassment & Hate Speech
A safe, dignifying space free from hate, threats, and bullying.
Every person deserves to work, create, and receive tips with dignity. We maintain zero tolerance for hostility, bullying, or intimidation.
Users and tipping patrons may not use tip notes, reviews, display names, or communications to demean, harass, threaten, defame, or stalk anyone.
Hate speech targeting race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, disability, gender, gender identity, or sexual orientation is prohibited without exception.
Any abusive reviews or messages will be permanently removed, and associated accounts will face immediate suspension and TrustScore revocation.
Anti-Fraud, Money Laundering & Safe Financial Conduct
Protecting the financial integrity of all tips and payouts.
Tiptree must only be used for legitimate tips, voluntary tipping, and authorized event/competition distributions.
The platform may never be used to facilitate illegal gambling, money laundering, extortion, bribery, ransom, or fraudulent payment cycles.
Tip links must not be used to sell prohibited goods, illicit services, or deceptive quid-pro-quo schemes violating local financial regulations.
We actively monitor suspicious transaction patterns, chargeback velocity, and automated bots to protect both recipients and cardholders.
Safe and Respectful Gifting & Event Transparency
Voluntary tips and clear rules for contests and competitions.
Tips are always voluntary. Coercive soliciting, deceptive payment demands, or exploiting patrons is strictly prohibited.
Contest and event hosts must state their payout structure clearly: whether participants withdraw directly or the organization pays out.
Organizers cannot alter prize rules or withdrawal terms after contributions have been collected.
Moderation, Reporting & Dispute Resolution
Fair human review, transparent enforcement, and clear appeal channels.
We combine automated validation rules with human moderation review queues to safeguard the community.
Violations may result in warning notices, removal of content, loss of Verified status, payout holds, or permanent account termination.
Suspected financial crimes or credible threats of physical harm will be escalated to appropriate law enforcement and regulatory bodies.
Account holders subject to action may submit an appeal to our trust and safety team at [email protected] with supporting evidence.
Platform Conduct & Digital Civility
Authentic engagement, privacy protection, and zero platform manipulation.
Tiptree operates as a community platform. Users must not create fake or duplicate accounts to artificially inflate review scores or manipulate TrustScores.
Coordinated inauthentic behavior, review gating abuse, spam tip requests, and automated scraping bots are forbidden.
Sexual, violent, or graphic content is strictly prohibited across all tip pages, avatars, and profile galleries.
Do not publish private personal data (doxxing), phone numbers, or private addresses without explicit consent.
How to Report a Violation
If you experience harassment, observe suspected fraud, or encounter content that violates these Community Standards, you can report it directly through the "Report" option on any profile or tip page, or contact our safety team at [email protected]. All reports are reviewed with strict confidentiality by our compliance team.
