Community Standards
Our principles for authentic, respectful, and safe tipping, reviews, and digital reputation.
You're viewing an archived version (v1.1) of this document. Read the current version (v1.3).
1. Integrity and Authentic Identity
Tiptree is built on genuine interactions and transparent tipping. Users must provide truthful information during registration, verification, and account setup. Impersonation of another person, brand, worker, or organization is strictly forbidden and will result in permanent suspension.
2. Zero Tolerance for Abuse, Harassment & Hate Speech
Users and tipping patrons may not use tip notes, reviews, display names, or communications to demean, harass, threaten, bully, defame, or intimidate any person or group based on race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, disability, gender, gender identity, or sexual orientation. Any abusive content will be removed immediately and accounts subject to review.
3. Anti-Fraud, Money Laundering & Extortion
Tiptree must never be used to facilitate illegal gambling, money laundering, extortion, bribery, ransom, or fraudulent transaction cycles. Tip pages may not offer prohibited goods, illegal services, or quid-pro-quo arrangements violating local financial regulations.
4. Safe and Respectful Gifting
Tips are voluntary expressions of appreciation. Coercive soliciting, deceptive payment demands, or exploiting vulnerable individuals will trigger immediate investigation and fund freezes. Contest and competition organizers must clearly state whether payouts are directly withdrawable or disbursed internally.
5. Moderation and Enforcement
